November 29th is the global day of giving known as GivingTuesday. On this day alone our goal is to raise money for 500-600 bales of hay for our horses! This will cost roughly $4,000.

The drought this summer took a toll on our hay pasture, giving us 500-600 bales less than we need for our horses. Would you consider coming alongside us with a one-time gift to help us through the winter? Your year-round support allows us to share God’s love with at-risk youth and their families in a dynamic, impactful way!

Kids who feel like no one understands them come out and learn that there are horses with a similar story.

Teens who feel unlovable come out and experience the unconditional love of God week after week all summer.

Families who are at their wits end come out and find hope and peace that they haven’t been able to find anywhere else.

God is working out at Haven Acres! Would you like to join Him in this way? Any size gift can be used for His kingdom!

Round-Up 2022 Thank You

Thank you to all who participated in and helped with our 9th annual Round-Up! We had so many people who donated items, helped set up, volunteered, and more. To those of you who helped in any way, thank you so much! You were all invaluable and the Round-Up wouldn’t have been possible without you.

To the businesses who donated items for our silent auction and raffle, thank YOU! The silent auction went really well and it helps so much!

To the participants and their families, thank you!! The Round-Up would have been horrible without your participation 🙂 You kids were so brave and did such a good job in your events. Parents and caregivers, thank you for your support to bring them out and for sharing them with us. We appreciate you all so much!

Thanks to all of you who purchased and donated at the Round-Up! We raised about $5,500 this year to help offer hope and healing to families at Haven Acres free-of-charge.

God has really blessed us through all of you coming alongside of us to make this event happen every year.

Sundance is looking for a sponsor!

Sundance is looking for a sponsor!

 

Sundance is a big, beautiful Quarter/Morgan cross in his early twenties. He was lovingly donated in the summer of 2018 by the same couple who donated Cowboy years ago, and now he gets to be at Haven Acres with his younger brother Smokey! Sundance is very gentle, laid back, and he’s not afraid of anything. He is also trained to pull a cart or sleigh, and we have been thrilled to offer carriage rides to some of the people we serve!

 
Horse sponsorship is one of the ways that people can be involved in supporting the horses and kids in our care. A monthly sponsorship covers the horse’s feed, hoof care, and basic medical costs or medications as well as offering a child the chance to build a relationship with them free of charge. Full and partial sponsorships are available.
 
Horse sponsorship includes:
  • Quarterly updates on your horse
  • A professional portrait of your horse showcasing your sponsorship
  • Acknowledgement of sponsorship on our website
  • Three opportunities per year to visit your horse
 
Sundance’s sponsorship has been partially covered by some generous donors and his monthly cost is just $165!

Flannel Gala Update!

Our Flannel Gala 2022 was a success!
To start out the night, our founders, Jason and Jenifer Heath, shared about the history of Haven Acres and updates about what God has done at Haven Acres in 2020 and 2021.
We got to hear testimonials from parents, kids, and one of our long-time volunteers and board members, Terry! (Head over to our YouTube channel if you would like to see some of those videos!)
Todd Monger, a counselor and the executive director of Bien Aime Farm, shared from his heart about the impact that ministries like Haven Acres have on the youth who come to them.

Registration for summer sessions 2022 is OPEN! Send us an application between March 1st and March 31st if you would like to have your child in Haven Acres sessions this year! We will be using the lottery system to determine acceptance.

Warm Weather Apparel!

For two weeks only we are running our fall apparel fundraiser! And for the first time ever we are offering flannels and jackets!

The way that CustomInk sets up their fundraisers required us to split it up into two different fundraisers to be able to offer the jackets and flannels, so if you order from both unfortunately you won’t be able to combine the shipping.

Unfortunately these will not be shipped in time for Christmas. We’re really sorry about this, but we were having issues with getting this fundraiser up and running this year.

We will not be ordering any extras of these, so if you would like one, this is your chance 🙂

#GivingTuesday Update

THANK YOU to all who donated on #GivingTuesday! $2,305 was given and we are so grateful! God has always been faithful and given us what we have needed for Haven Acres.

GivingTuesday, November 30th!

#GivingTuesday is the international day of generosity happening on November 30, 2021.

If you’d like to help Haven Acres continue to be able to show people God’s love through one-on-one mentorship and rescue horses, there’s a few ways you can do that.

Ways to help tomorrow:

  • Share, comment on, and like our #GT posts. I have been and will continue to be posting about our #GivingTuesday fundraiser, and the more people like, comment on, and share posts, the more people who will see them. (Facebook shows posts to more people when more people interact with them.)
  • Create your own Facebook fundraiser:
    • This is so helpful! Personal fundraisers (connected to Haven Acres) share directly to the people on your friend list, sends them notifications, and asks them if they would like to donate. Our fundraiser will only reach our So this is one of the most impactful ways you can help!
    • If you make a fundraiser, make it personal! Talk about why Haven Acres means a lot to you.
    • There’s also an option where you could match people who donate on your fundraiser if you’d like to do that.
  • Your kids could help! They can create a TikTok or Instagram Reel about why Haven Acres matters to them and link to our page or fundraiser!
  • Donate:
    • Facebook matching – Facebook will be matching up to $8M in donations made on Facebook fundraisers ONLY on November 30th, starting at 7am central time. Facebook usually runs out of matching money very quick, so if you’d like yours to be matched, try donating as close to 7am as you can that day!     • Employer matching – many employers will match donations made by their employees! You could always see if yours will do this.

Our goal is to raise $6,000 on #GivingTuesday. This will help us pay our expenses for part of the winter as we take care of the horses and work on fundraising and strengthening the ministry to be even better next year.

Round-Up 2021

With approximately 300 in attendance, the Haven Acres Round-Up raised about $5500! Thank you to all of the volunteers, the individual and business donors, as well as all of the attendees! What a great culmination to an amazing year serving nearly 100 different kids and forming new partnerships in our community with Christian Family Solutions and Youth and Family Circle. God has done SO MUCH for us!!
